This is an A2 size gate card for a new baby boy or girl.  I left it blank so i could personalize it when I needed it.  I used Create A Critter for the seahorse and all the seaweed.  Papers are from DCWV Nana's Nursery (boy).  I LOVE this paper stack.  I think I will go back and get the one for girls too.  I also saw that she had a kitchen version. Nana has all kinds of good stuff!!  ;)

I was inspired by Mary at Cardz TV to make this little mouse.  He was so much fun!!

Didn't it turn out cute!!!

Here's how I made it:
A2 portrait size card
Papers from Recollections and DCWV
Elegant Edges Mat cut at 3 1/4" from pg 55
Mouse from Happy Hauntings cut @ 4" from pg 57 - His mask was embossed with clear powder.  He is popped up on pop dots.
His pumpkin is real dial size 2" (the one that cut with him was too small to me and I used it on another mouse card.)  I colored it with pencils and used my bone folder to score in some lines to give it shape.
Sentiment from pg 32 of Happy Hauntings @ 1"
Glossy Accents on sentiment, nose, eyes
black doodles around edge
Ribbon is Celebrate IT Halloween
Candy Corn is Jolee's boutique sticker

Cultivate Joy!

Hello My Friends!  I was able to get another card made today!
It is finally raining here in TX! And we needed it!  Are yall getting any of this fabulous rain?

I made this card for Mary's color challenge over at Cardz TV.  I don't know why, but color challenges seem to be the hardest ones for me.  It seems like as soon as I'm limited to a certain color, I think of all these great ideas to use anything but the ones I'm supposed to!! haha!  does that happen to anyone else?

Mary picked some hard colors for this challenge!  Royal Blue, Deep Purple, Marigold, and Pale Gray ONLY!  We could use a tiny bit of black and white if we needed to.

The first thing that came to mind for me was Halloween!  Those are great Halloween colors!  So, naturally.....I made a card with flowers on it!  Hey guys...don't ask me how my brain works...it just does what it wants to. But I'm super happy with how it turned out! So, without further ado...

Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge #13 "Color Me Happy"

Marigold, Royal Blue, Deep Purple, Pale Gray
This card is 4x4 and was cut from Wild Card.
All papers are from Recollections.
Watering Can is from Country Life cut at 1.5"
Dark Blue background paper was run through Swiss dots folder
Swirl Stamp is from Hero Arts and was stamped with Tim Holtz faded jeans
Marigold paper cut with border punch and inked with Tim Holtz Wild Honey
Flowers are Recollections Floral Embellishments, Bling is Recollections
Sheer Purple Ribbon and blue cross stitch floss from Michaels
The inside is made up of everything that I cut the wrong size the first time! :) He he!
I left the frame open at the top so I could slide in a photo or gift card.

I have no idea what to use this card for....maybe some of you could offer up some suggestions.
Thanks for stopping by and I love to hear what you have to say!!

Kitty Birthday!!

Hey guys!!!  I know....It has been FOREVER since I posted!

Sorry, things have been crazy!!!  The wedding date is getting closer and closer....and there is still A LOT to do!  I feel a little guilty when I'm making a cutesy card and I know I have a lot of invitations I'm supposed to be making! :)  So.......I just did a really quick one with a cute kitty inspired by the litter of 7 kittens we just took in with the rescue I volunteer for.  You just can't beat cute little fuzzy baby kittens!!!  They make you smile no matter what!
